About

Our Approach to Leadership & Team Development

At SkillCharter, we believe leadership development is more than a one-off training: it’s a guided journey that helps fast-growing organizations build the capacity to thrive. Our 4A model—Awareness, Application, Alignment, and Advancement—is the compass we use so organizations grow strong together.

Awareness is our launch point. Using Everything DiSC® assessments on Catalyst™ and the Five Behaviors Model we help leaders and teams build the self-awareness needed to collaborate, communicate, and execute more effectively.

Application turns insight into action for your teams. Through executive and team coaching and engaging micro-learning experiences, leaders and teams practice real-world skills around conflict, accountability, trust and feedback, so that new behaviors become lasting habits.

Alignment ensures that development is anchored to your organization’s direction. We work with you to connect learning to business priorities, embed DiSC® into team norms and culture, and equip internal leaders to scale the work—so that growth isn’t just personal, it’s organizational.

Advancement prepares your people and systems for what’s next. From certifying internal trainers to measuring business impact and layering in complementary tools like Crucial Learning, we help your organization evolve its leadership capabilities over time.

Wherever your people are in their leadership journey, SkillCharter helps chart a course that’s thoughtful, practical, and built to go the distance.

Mission, Vision, and Values

mission

At SkillCharter, we help organizations navigate growth with confidence by developing the communication skills, team alignment, and leadership capacity of their people. Through coaching, training, and partnership, we empower teams to chart their own course.

vision

We envision workplaces where everyone pulls in the same direction—with clarity, purpose, feedback and trust. SkillCharter aims to be the north star for those seeking to cultivate engaged, capable leaders and resilient, collaborative cultures.

values

Trust & Safety

Trust means knowing that others have your back—and that your voice, experience, and perspective matter. Safety means creating environments where people can take risks, ask for help, and be honest without fear of blame or exclusion. At SkillCharter, we build trust by encouraging open communication, modeling shared accountability, and making room for every voice.

adaptability

We believe that in a world of constant change, people need both the confidence to move forward and the security of knowing they can adapt along the way. Change can be unsettling—but it’s also an opportunity for growth. We build agility into every learning experience, so teams are prepared for shifting tides and ready to navigate toward new horizons.

Curiosity & Growth

We want our clients to know exactly what to expect and how their investment is working for them. We lead with transparency and intention—taking time to understand our clients’ goals, offering packages with clear pricing and deliverables, and focusing on outcomes that can be measured.

All Hands on Deck

We believe accountability is the heart of strong partnerships and high-functioning teams. That’s why we call it “all hands on deck.” Leadership isn’t confined to titles—it’s about showing up, owning your role, and contributing to shared goals. We help teams and leaders build the skills they need to take responsibility, offer support, and hold each other capable.

Meet Kate & Corinne

Co-Founders of SkillCharter

In 2019, after long careers in public health research and advocacy (Kate) and education and human resources (Corinne), we both found ourselves looking for a new chapter in transformational coaching and leadership development.

We met on the first day of class.

From the start, we connected over a shared passion: helping people lead with purpose, build thriving teams, and create workplaces where bold missions and human connection go hand in hand.

After completing our year-long coaching program with Leadership that Works and gaining our ICF certifications in coaching, we built thriving individual practices serving leaders and teams at organizations in the Pacific Northwest and beyond:

We’re both certified practitioners of the Everything DiSC® and Five Behaviors® models and love using these tools to spark self-awareness, build trust, and strengthen communication on teams.

Additionally:
